SALES ASSOCIATE - PART TIME

In this role, you will…

  • Greet and proactively approach customers to assist them with their shopping needs while creating and maintaining a friendly shopping experience. 

  • Perform cashier duties and be familiar with our computerized POS systems, procedures, return policies, and handling of warranty claims when applicable.

  • Keep and maintain a clean and organized store, straightening of merchandise displays, general cleanup throughout the day and at the end of day.

  • Restock merchandise when necessary

 

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Applicant must be 18+ 

  • Ability to use computerized POS system

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well with a diverse team and customer base

  • Product knowledge preferred 

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends

GENERAL MANAGER - FULL TIME

Consumer Direct Sports Supplies, Inc is a family owned and operated sporting goods, work wear, and outdoor apparel retail business serving the Grove City and surrounding areas for over 32 years. 

 

In this role, you will be responsible for multiple facets of our business operations.

 

HR & Personnel

 

  • Be directly involved in the interviewing/hiring process in an effort to build a diverse and experienced team.

  • Be responsible for onboarding and training team members to be competent, efficient, and productive in their roles while offering top tier customer service.

  • Lead team members in completing day to day tasks including but not limited to restocking product, carrying out store layout resets, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Encourage team members to be self motivated to seek out opportunities for improvements within the store when tasks have not already been assigned.

  • Have the ability to issue disciplinary warnings up to and including termination of an employee if necessary. 

 

Day To Day Operations

 

In this role, you will be expected to work 40 hours per week, but may occasionally be required to exceed 40 hours during peak sales periods or during periods with personnel shortages. In addition to working the sales floor, your responsibilities will include the following:

 

  • The ability to receive new stock and process into the POS system while maintaining accurate accounting of what is received compared to invoices & packing slips.

  • Aid and assist in interfacing CDS Sports with customers in regards to warranty claims, in order to provide a positive outcome for both parties.

  • Entering, tracking, and final delivery of customer special orders through using digital tools and current procedures.

  • Processing warranty returns to vendors in a timely manner, while tracking progress of claims and following up when necessary.

  • Be responsible for creating personnel schedules in a timely manner to achieve proper shift coverage, as well as, giving employees ample time to review.

 

Other Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Play a key role in purchasing products and curating them into sales flyers in order to maximize sales opportunities versus advertising expenses. 

  • Assist in operating our company social media pages to help drive sales and in store specials.

  • Assist in purchasing new products, as well as, maintaining stock levels of our best selling products.

  • Minimal travel required to attend trade shows and assist in the booking orders process.

 

Requirements and Qualification

  • Applicant must be 18+ 

  • 2+ Years Management Experience

  • Ability to use and maintain computerized POS system

  • Ability to use and operate Excel, Word, and other general computer skills

  • Ability to use and navigate vendor B2B interfaces

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work well with a diverse team and customer base

  • A good knowledge of our products required 

  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
